How do I update my phone number for two-factor (2FA)?
Change the phone number that receives your security codes.
Pocketwatch holds financial data, so an SMS second factor is required on every account. When you switch numbers, update it here so codes reach the right phone.
- Open Settings → Security.
- For security, you may be asked to verify your current phone first — tap to send a code and enter it.
- In the phone section, start a phone change and enter your new number.
- Enter the code texted to the new number to confirm. Your old number is unlinked immediately.
Keep at least one way back in. If you ever lose access to your phone, your recovery codes (set up in the Security tab) are how you regain access — store them somewhere safe.
