How do I reset my password?

Reset a forgotten password from the sign-in page, or change it while signed in.

If you're locked out (forgot your password)

  1. Go to Forgot password.
  2. Enter the email on your account and submit. For your security we always show the same "check your inbox" message, whether or not an account exists for that email.
  3. Open the reset link in that email and choose a new password.
  4. You'll be sent back to sign in — log in with your new password.
The reset link is single-use and expires. If it's stopped working, just request a fresh one from the forgot-password page.

If you're already signed in (just changing it)

  1. Open Settings → Security.
  2. In the Password card, enter your current password, then your new one twice.
  3. Click Update password.

Signed in with Google and never set a password? The Security tab shows a Set password form instead, so you can add email-and-password sign-in alongside Google.
