About
Built for people who'd rather not open three apps to do one thing.
Pocketwatch is a one-person tool that grew into a small product. Here's who we are and why it exists.
Who we are
Pocketwatch is built by a tiny team led by a designer who got tired of running personal finances out of a spreadsheet, a budgeting app, a brokerage app, and three browser tabs. The app started as a personal tool. Other people kept asking for access. Here we are.
We are not a bank. We are not a broker. We don't connect to your accounts and we don't move your money. Pocketwatch is the place you write down what's happening — calmly, in one ledger, the way you'd write it down on paper if you were the kind of person who wrote things down on paper.
Why we built it
Most personal-finance apps pick a lane. Budgeting apps don't know about your brokerage. Brokerage apps don't know about your budget. Net-worth trackers know about both but won't let you log a coffee. The result is mental tab-switching, and the moment things get busy you stop doing any of it.
Pocketwatch keeps the four pieces — budget, accounts, net worth, investments — in one ledger so you only have to look at one thing. The calm is the feature.
What you can expect
Steady, small updates. No splashy redesigns. No surprise "AI assistant" that wants to read your transactions. No ads, ever. We make money the boring way — a flat subscription — and we like it that way.
If you want to know how everything works, the guide goes piece by piece. If you have questions or feedback, the contact form goes straight to us.
