How do I switch between light and dark mode?

The quickest way is the theme toggle in the sidebar (or the footer). For a labeled control with previews, open Settings → Appearance and pick Light or Dark.
Your theme is remembered per device, so your phone and laptop can stay on different modes. A system-matching option that follows your device theme automatically is on the way.
