What's new - August 3, 2026
Easier sign-in, a useful Free plan, guided setup for what matters to you, a clearer home for net worth, and a smoother experience across Pocketwatch.
Sign in the way that works for you
Password sign-in is back alongside magic links, passkeys, Apple, and Google. Registration now keeps things simple: verify your email, create a password, and you are in.
Extra security is your choice. You can add an authenticator app, text-message codes, or a passkey from Security. If you turn on a second factor, Pocketwatch asks for it after every sign-in method. Forgot your password? The reset flow is back too.
Free is now a real place to stay
Eligible new accounts begin with 14 days of Standard access, with no card and no automatic renewal. When the trial ends, the account moves to Free unless you choose Standard or Pro.
Free includes one pocket, a full budget, cash and debt accounts, manual and recurring transactions, and supported file imports. Bank connections, investments, property, collectibles, Auto-Assign, and receipt tools remain part of Standard and Pro.
Pick the setup that matters first
Onboarding now offers three focused walkthroughs: Budget, Investments, and Property. Choose one and Pocketwatch guides you through the real screens you will use, or skip setup and come back when you are ready.
Net worth has a clearer home
Net-worth history and breakdowns now live in Analytics, so the story of your assets and debt sits beside the rest of your financial reporting. Old Net Worth links take you straight there.
The Dashboard now lets you choose four quick-view cards from wealth velocity, spending pace, debt, spending, and targets. Your choices are remembered for each pocket, and wealth targets can be reviewed without leaving the Dashboard.
A smoother look and feel
The public site now uses a focused dark look with clearer previews of the product. Inside the app, brighter account and category markers, softer chart shapes, and more consistent navigation make busy screens easier to scan.
Sheets and drawers feel more natural on phones, date fields hold their shape, and supported iPhones can use smoother 120 Hz motion.
The small things got attention too
We restored opening-balance actions in investment accounts, made trade dates easier to read, aligned account menus and transaction rows, improved password and verification focus, and fixed a collection of Dashboard and onboarding rough edges.
