What exchanges are supported for stock pricing?

Automatic stock and ETF pricing currently covers U.S.-listed securities. Other listings can be tracked with your own local values.

Automatic stock and ETF pricing currently supports U.S.-listed securities. This includes U.S.-listed ETFs that track indexes. Pocketwatch also prices supported U.S. mutual funds and bonds through a separate market-data source.

What is priced automatically

U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, including ETFs that track indexes such as the S&P 500 or Nasdaq-100.
Supported U.S. mutual funds and bonds.
Other supported investment categories, such as crypto and commodities, use their own pricing sources.

A direct market index is not a holding category in Pocketwatch. To track an index as an investment, add a fund or ETF that follows it.

What is not priced automatically

Exchange-qualified non-U.S. symbols, such as HLS:ASX, are not sent to Pocketwatch's stock-pricing providers. This avoids attaching an unrelated U.S. quote to a similarly named security or presenting a provider error as market data.

Track an unsupported security yourself

Add the holding with its complete symbol, such as HLS:ASX.
Open the holding and select the small pencil beside its name.
Enter any details you want Pocketwatch to use, such as market price, annual dividend per share, dividend yield, 5-year dividend growth, market statistics, or company information.
Save. The holding is marked as using your inputs, and those values stay scoped to your pocket.

Enter a local market price in your portfolio's reporting currency. Pocketwatch does not perform currency conversion on a user-entered security price.

You only replace the fields you enter. Blank fields continue using available Pocketwatch data, or remain unknown when no reliable data exists. A dividend yield by itself does not create projected dividend income; enter the annual dividend per share when you want that projection.

Return to automatic data

If Pocketwatch later supports the security, select Use Pocketwatch data beside the local-input note or inside the pencil editor. This removes your security-level inputs and resumes automatic data wherever it is available.

When a reliable price is missing, the holding page shows an unknown market price and does not manufacture day change, price history, or unrealized return from cost basis. Portfolio summaries may identify cost basis as a fallback estimate, but it is not presented as a live quote.
